Be quiet

At the beginning of this year 2020, I took time to retire with the Lord, get out of the hustle and bustle, the routine, the buzz. And very early in the morning of that day I took my Bible to prepare a study that I was doing and the Lord took me straight to this portion, of which I share part of it, in Isaiah 43: 6 I will say to the north: Give here; and to the south: Don’t stop; Bring from afar my sons and my daughters from the ends of the earth, 7 all those called by my name; to my glory I have created them, formed them and made them. 8 Bring out the blind people who have eyes, and the deaf who have ears.

And the Lord spoke to me as the time had come where he was calling his sons and daughters from everywhere. But I was particularly struck by verse 8: blind people who have eyes and deaf people who have ears. Notice that it doesn’t say anything that they have a mouth. A few months later, we were faced with the appearance of the Covid-19, where we all, for reasons we already know, were forced to wear masks in one way or another. I don’t know about you, but every moment I have had to wear the mask, the least I have wanted to do is talk, it is the most uncomfortable and suffocating feeling there is.

I remembered that portion that the Lord had brought me at the beginning of the year and meditated, how much the Lord longs for us to learn to remain silent before Him. How much God has been trying to get our attention to speak to our lives, but we have not listened to him. He has been longing for us to connect our senses with Him, but we have had so much to say that we have not heard him. The phrase of the word that says: he who has ears, hear what the Spirit is speaking, has come at times when I am also writing some message that the Lord is giving me to share. He longs for us to see Him work in the wonderful expanse of all that He is, but we have been blind and so focused on our own lives, our own circumstances, that we have not seen His power and His glory.

I do not know how much of this time you have been able to listen to God, to hear how the earth cries out waiting for the glorious manifestation of her children, how much you have been able to see his wonderful works in the midst of all that has happened. God was not unprepared, He already saw the end from the beginning, nothing takes him by surprise.

It is time to focus our senses and align them with the Spirit, God has been trying to speak to us: O my people, listen to my teachings; open your ears to what I say. Psalm 78: 1. Let us remain silent and listen, meditate on his word to find clear direction and answers that only He can give us. Blessings.
