Beautiful…and now?

2

With the “boom” of the “lives” through social networks these days, I have had the opportunity to share with many people on the page of our church and some other videos that I have been able to enter and watch. Really, people always leave an opinion about the message they are hearing and one of the expressions that I have read the most in recent weeks is: Beautiful word.

Generally, after leaving the services, after a message, those who were ministered to or edified by the word, are heard to say more or less the same thing: Beautiful word, tremendous word, powerful word.

But the issue behind all this is: it is beautiful, powerful, tremendous, but what are you doing with it? What effect does it have on you? I remember on one occasion that I asked the Lord something similar, because it is difficult to see how a powerful message is brought to strengthen your identity in Christ, so that you appropriate a word of healing, so that your thoughts are transformed and aligned with the mind of Christ, but nothing happens. Then the Lord answered me: for there to be a change, there must be an intention to change. It is not about how beautiful or powerful the message we hear can be, the word is always alive and effective, it is about how much I take that word and apply it in my life, how much I allow that word to break the old to bring the new, how much “intentionally” can I take it and put it to work in my life.

The words of Jesus are spirit and they are life, they are designed to bring about a transformation in the listener, but you have to allow it, you have to long for it. Otherwise, it will only be one more beautiful word.

Today the Spirit is speaking, he is bringing a word to move and transform our lives, but he is working with those who want something different and not only enjoy a beautiful message, but that nothing else happens. Today you decide, if each message you hear is just one more, or is it really an opportunity brought by the Spirit through which it seeks to transform your life. Don’t let it be one more word, position yourself. Blessings.
