Do I really want the change?

Do not fear or be discouraged, for the LORD Himself will go before you. He will be with you; He will not fail you or forsake you.

Deuteronomy 31: 8

The time in which we are living has demanded and will demand many changes. That is why we have been exposed to a lot of information during this time, many teaching forums have been opened in all areas. Anyone with access to the internet has been able to visit and choose a range of information for everything from cooking recipes to new ways of doing business. From everything we have seen or heard, we have been able to select what we liked the most and we have applied it to obtain results based on what we learned.

In the same way, everyone who has been exposed to God’s move has been able to hear, from a variety of platforms, what God has been bringing to this time. And as children of God, we have also been open to information and teachings that have been for our blessing and growth, to everyone who has wanted it that way.

In this same space, a series of teachings concerning our life, in general, have been touched that many people have shared with me their liking for them. Everything we have shared here has been aimed at causing changes and seeking to be transformed in our lives. For a long time in our life, we were doing things that were not working or contributing to our growth as individuals. There are many issues within us that we know we need to work on, and we have received some response to be able to work on those issues, but nothing has happened. And the reality is that nothing will happen if I, intentionally, do not move towards the change I want.

I’ve been to a lot of live broadcasts and I read the comments people usually write. Comments such as: wow!, that’s true, tremendous message, he’s absolutely right, likewise, that word is for me, I needed to hear that, among some others. In the midst of the messages that God has been bringing for this time, there have been issues of deep confrontation and deep truths that have discovered situations that need to be worked out for all. And I have seen people very shocked, recognizing that they have heard what they needed to hear and how confronted or identified they have felt with what they are hearing.

But, after having received a message that impacted me or with which I identified, how willing or committed am I to achieve change? I already recognized a truth that I needed to hear, I already understood that I received answers in what I needed to hear, or in what God knew I needed to hear, now what?

Nothing will happen if I have no intention or commitment to change. And therein lies a large part of the problems in our life, in which we know that something needs to be changed, but we do not move towards it.

Once I asked the Lord, how was it that people received so many spiritual experiences, they cry, they scream, they fall to the ground, but nothing happens with their lives. And the Lord replied that nothing changes if you don’t intend for me to change. You can listen to the best advice, have all the answers, even be praying for it, and want it with all your might, but if you have no intention of change, nothing will happen.

God does not break the will of man. He can bring all the answers into your life, even the resources so you can use them to your advantage, but putting the action is up to you. If nothing happens, you will not be able to go and claim God for not having seen the changes, in the end, you will have to explain to the Lord how it was that, having all the answers, you did nothing with them. And the consequences of your decisions will be for you. God had spoken very clearly to Joshua about how to get to the promised land and as part of the instructions he gave him, He said: My command is: “Be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. Joshua 1: 9

This is not the time to waste time or play indecisions. If you have doubts, go in prayer to God, and I assure you that he has answers for you. But if God has brought clear answers into your life, and you haven’t moved to the next level, then the problem is not with God. Remember that when God is pushing you to make a change, it is because He saw that you can do it. In eternity they saw you conquering, DON’T LET FEAR KEEP STOPPING YOU. Much analysis produces paralysis, and every change produces resistance.

If God is in the midst of all the positive changes in your life, then who is against you? Own every word you have received and run with it, don’t stop. 8 Do not fear or be discouraged, for the LORD Himself will go before you. He will be with you; He will not fail you or forsake you – Deuteronomy 31: 8. Be of good cheer, this is a time for the brave and the grace of God is with you.
