Toxic me?
Part 1
There has been a clear message in my spirit at this time: He (Christ) laid down his life for her (the church) 26 in order to make her holy and clean by washing her through the purification of God’s word. 27 He did it to present it to himself as a glorious church, without spot or wrinkle or any other blemish. Instead, it will be holy and blameless – Ephesians 5:25-27. The desire of the heart of God is that all our being in spirit, soul, and body, are aligned to be able to hear and receive what the Spirit is speaking about his children. That is why he is teaching us to choose the right thing because the word is given, but it is our responsibility to respond to it and choose correctly.
And the thing is, there are things (attitudes, customs) that do not build, build or contribute to our life or that of those around us. Reaching a healthy coexistence with everyone and maturing in my integral growth as an individual is of the utmost importance. Our duty is to love everyone, and that implies being the person with the correct identity and maturity and who can project and manifest it wherever I am.
Each of us needs to have the ability to identify those people or environments that alter or affect our emotions. But, in the same way, it is my duty to identify if, as an individual, I am influencing the people and the atmospheres that I frequent with the right attitude and thus discover if I am part of the problem or the solution.
It is important that you know that there are people, whom psychology has recognized as “toxic” who live around us. Quite possibly they do not realize or do not know that they are, but those who are around them may realize the effect that they cause in the environment where they are. Just as there are contagious people who radiate joy, whom we know as “the life of the party”, because they leave joy and good humor wherever they go, there are also “toxic” people who do the opposite.
Being able to identify a certain level of toxicity in others is quite simple, but if the poison is me, how do I know it? How am I influencing those around me? How do people feel when they are with me? Is my company pleasant to others? What things am I constantly talking about? How much does it bother me that others do not do what seems right to me? How often do I feel people are against me? How much do I need to be recognized for the things I do? How do I feel or how do I treat people that I feel are ahead of me in something? And a few more questions we could ask ourselves.
If you can identify or answer an answer that you do not like in any of these questions presented here, it means that you need to work with your emotional tank. Today I want to let you know that: You can do everything in Christ who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13) and that, if He already made for Himself a church without wrinkles and without blemish and saw you included in it, it is because He knows that you have it all through his victory. Let your being and all your senses align with Spirit today, all the tools are in Him.
Do not allow any atmosphere, created by man, to steal or move you from everything that God created for you in His perfect love and grace. Everything you need to overcome any situation, and He created it for you. May grace be with you today.
