Until becoming

There is a word that has been occupying my mind in recent days, it is the word “transformation”. And there is a very clear truth for our life, the desire of the Father’s heart is that, those who are called according to his eternal purpose, be according to the image of his son: “For those he knew beforehand, he also predestined to be transformed according to the image of his Son, so that he may be the first-born among many brothers”- Romans 8:29. So, despite how much we can dream of a ministry and doing great things in the hands of God, God’s primary purpose over our lives is that we be like his son, that we have his character, his essence, his blew it.

Paul himself, who wrote much of the New Testament, said: be imitators of me, just as I am of Christ. So, Paul made it clear to us who we should become. There is no greater task than this. And it is precisely through this transformation that we will be able to understand the depth of, how Jesus summarized all the commandments in just two. “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is similar: You shall love your neighbor as yourself”- Matthew 22: 37-39.

No one could love God so much and at the same time love his neighbor, recognizing the greatness of God in them (neighbor), if he is not equal to Jesus. Only with the character of Jesus and being transformed into his image and likeness, you can achieve such love. Jesus had three years of ministry on earth, and thirty years being converted into the man that God wanted to make of Him. So, certainly God was, through those thirty years, forming (engraving, sealing) his own image in the life of his Son. That is why Jesus could say that he and his Father were one. And now you and I are one with them. That is why God is calling our attention to focus on what he wants us to be, engraving his image in us (all his fullness).

Then, today I give you this word that God has sown in my spirit, so that you can enjoy it and take it for your life. I don’t know what your desire is, but mine is to see myself as He sees me and to be transformed, every day, into the image of his Son, so that others can see him in me. I want others to tell me one day: Wow! Sharing with you is like sharing with Jesus. I hope you can long for the same. Ultimately, there is no greater purpose of God for his children than that, to see Jesus in each one of us.

“Because the Lord and the Spirit are one, and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom. And we don’t have any veils to cover our faces. We are like a mirror that reflects the greatness of the Lord, who changes our life. Thanks to the action of his Spirit in us, we become more and more like him”. 2 Corinthians 3: 17-18

Let your life be transformed, each day more through his grace, and enjoy while you are being transformed. Because, this slight momentary tribulation that you could be going through today, does not compare with the enormous weight of glory that will be manifested throughout your life tomorrow, do not hesitate.
